Control of Physical and Electronic Access in Healthcare Establishments

Dictao Healthcare Identity and Access Management (DHIAM) is a management system for institutional identification badges.

Dictao offers DHIAM to aid healthcare establishments in the operational implementation of the Confidentiality Decree of May 15, 2007.

The personal badge card carries the identifying certificate of an individual. This card allows for :

• Identity authentication, permitting complete assurance of an individual’s identity.  The identity of the person is stored on the establishment card.
• Management of numerous profiles (e.g. health care professionals, administrative personnel, researchers) and associated rights (e.g. the control of physical or electronic access to sites).
• Control of physical access to locations (parking garages, restaurants, care units…) limits to access to people that have been authenticated and have the right to enter the area
• Confidentiality and protection of medical data, guaranteeing that only authorized people have the right to consult confidential information
• Integrity of medical data, which is guaranteed by electronic signatures. This allows for the detection of all illegitimate modifications to medical files.
• Secure archiving of medical data, assuring the integrity and preservation of documents, in the event of litigation.
