The Dictao Trust Suite is built around three main functions, all of which are necessary to the establishment of security and trust in an increasingly electronic world.

Securing identities: Strong authentication

Within the framework of electronic relationships, it is absolutely crucial that all of the identities of participants are known (authentication). Participating parties could be accessing sensitive information, providing information, or be acting as stakeholders in a transaction. Today, various authentication methods are available: passwords, smart cards, biometric imprints…. Dictao offers a sustainable authentication platform that supports all existing authentication methods, and that is also capable of adapting to meet future means.

Securing transactions: Digital signatures and proof

Just like in the physical world, the realm of electronic transactions requires that two parties be able to commit to each other in order to complete transactions.
For these paperless agreements, the digital signature formally signifies commitment to information, a wire order, a contract… The digital signature replaces the traditional pen and paper signature, and provides the same legal guarantees.
Organizations receiving signed documents need to be able to verify the authenticity of information, and constitute a proof of the transaction. This proof provides all of the transaction details (the amount, dates, etc.), and must be conserved in a manner which ensures its integrity. This proof must be also be available, intact, for withdrawal at any given moment, and useable in court in the event of litigation.

Securing information: Legally binding archiving and traceability

Legally binding archiving

The rapid development of dematerialized processes has led to the generation of large numbers of electronic documents and proof, all of which must be conserved.
The protection of archived data is essential, as is the guarantee of the data’s long-term integrity, confidentiality, and authenticity. Thanks to these precautions, archived data can be withdrawn, certified and intact, at any given moment, and serve as proof in the event of litigation.

Traceability

To meet the requirements of regulatory frameworks, it is often necessary to trace events, actions, and information, in order to discover their history and usage. This traceability allows for information to be tracked, from creation until deletion.
The function of traceability involves saving and signing all of the traced information, in order that this data can be tracked, kept intact, and protected. Thanks to this function, users can also keep tabs on the usage of the information, and trace any possible information leaks.
